you just have to take a break.
This flooding and all the mess and ensuing construction is getting to me just a bit. Well, maybe a lot. I honestly feel like my life is on hold until the basement gets redone. I know that stuff is getting done while I am at work, but I keep coming home to nothing that I can see changed....or at least not terribly noticable. Today, I know we got new windows put in the basement...but it doesn't look much different.
John went to look at carpeting without me today...which was not a good idea. He found his dream carpet (can a person have such a thing?) and now is trying to talk me into it. While I like the colors, I am not really loving the pattern. It is really soft, though.
Luckily, we have great insurance so everything is covered. I really didn't realize how much money we were talking about until I did the insurance spreadsheet. Yikes!
I am still trying to get everything working with the computer, the camera, and the scanner.....one of these days I might actually post with pictures.
OTN is a sock for the little one. It is being knit with a really cool yarn by Bonkers which I got at the Michigan Fiber Fest. Oh yeah, did I mention I went there a few weeks ago? Way cool, and not SO terribly far from Chicago for a day trip.
